Overview and key themes for November 2012 Horoscopes
There are several changes this month involving new beginnings and change of direction, as Mars enters Capricorn on the 17^th, the Sun enters Sagittarius on the 22^nd and Venus enters Scorpio the same day.

These energies involve a mixture of Cardinal, Mutable and Fixed. Astrologically, ‘Cardinal’ means to proactively initiate something new with drive and competitive spirit. ‘Mutable’ is an energy that transitions from one state to another, sifting goalposts and moving with the flow. ‘Fixed’ means to establish, ie, making secure what was stated beforehand.

This energy concentrates and prolongs for the duration and is not keen on changing the status quo. So, the background theme this month is of grabbing opportunities to initiate new projects, using our flexibility to make necessary changes while looking at the long-term stability and reliability of our endeavours.

Meanwhile Mercury enters his 3^rd and final retrograde period of this year on the 7^th for approximately three weeks until the 27^th. While it is advisable to complete your research, projects and endeavours prior to the 7^th, Mercury retrograding can be beneficial as he will awaken you from operating on autopilot as you go about your daily business.

Anything that goes wrong, or is delayed for example serves to prompt you to reconsider your activities by re-doing certain actions. However, forewarned is forearmed with regard to communication, technology and travel. Neptune finally turns direct on the 11^th after 5 months in retrograde (apparent) motion.

During this phase, Neptune has encouraged us to reflect and re-examine our blind faith, spiritual values and boundaries and how connected and yet separate we are to everything. As he turns direct we should have a better idea of our hopes, dreams and ideals, which hopefully are more aligned to our true selves. 

Finally, the big event is the Solar Eclipse on the 13^th in Scorpio (at 21° 57?), which is also a ‘Super Moon’ indicating its closeness to earth. This is an extra powerful New Moon signalling a time of major beginnings.

Anything we keep secret such as our fears, passions, vulnerabilities, and our hidden urge for power and control over others, will be revealed for us to deal with, openly. This is a timely Solar Eclipse as it initiates our inner responses to working with the lessons of Saturn and the North Node, following their recent entries into Scorpio.

This Solar Eclipse will affect the Sun Signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, and will significantly affect those of you who were born with personal planets and points in your natal chart between 17 to 27 degrees of those same signs.
