General
Your Planetary Ruler Mercury turns direct on 8th August. This is good news for you Gemini as you are particularly affected by his retrograde periods, although some are worse than others. Until the 8th your self-image and how you present yourself to others may be affected. It is a good time for renewing an old knowledge and turning it into a new skill or application. The retrograde period will also encourage intellectual reflection, through which original and innovative ideas are born during 17th until 20th August. If you experience irritating circumstances leading up to the 20th – don’t give up!
Mid-month sees new beginnings regarding your siblings, education or information around the New Moon in Leo on the 17th. Activities such as letter writing, blogging and generally contacting others are highlighted. Relationships with your siblings and/or neighbours will change on some level.
Family, Love and Relationships
Communication and education issues may cause you to think more than usual, which will help towards avoiding misunderstandings with family members. Things will improve after the 8th when Mercury turns direct. The same day Venus moves into Cancer from Gemini, your sign where it has resided for the past four months. Venus has been focusing you to re-evaluate your values (financial, emotional and spiritual) and how you identify yourself in love and relationships. Taking stock of your Venusian qualities and how you express these through communication is the key. In Cancer, these qualities shift to the themes of nurturance and protection and how you relate to others may take on a soft, sympathetic, romantic quality as your value system now focuses on home and family.
